A Little While and You Will See Me

This past Sunday was Jubilate Sunday–the Third Sunday after Easter. We heard in the Gospel lesson these words of our Lord: “A little while, and you will not see Me; and again a little while, and you will see Me, because I go to the Father” (John 16:16). Jesus spoke this to the disciples in the upper room right before His arrest and crucifixion, and, in the context, these words refer to His death and burial (you will not see me) and His resurrection (you will see me). However, they also have something to say to us about the current time, when we don’t see Christ, and what we have to look forward to. Listen to the sermon for more.

Coming Up: Spring Recitation Night

Eli describes the Romanesque period at the Fall 2024 Recitation Night

The biennial Recitation Night for All Saints Classical Lutheran School will be held this coming Tuesday, May 13, at 6 p.m. The Jonesboro community, along with the members and friends of All Saints parish, has the opportunity to come together and listen to the scholars of All Saints share what they’ve learned over the past few months. The children have been diligently working and are continuously growing in their knowledge and understanding of the truth, goodness, and beauty that God has woven into His creation.

The evening will include music, poetry, Latin, art, and more. There will be a reception and open house after the recitation. Everyone is invited!
