Once a month, the back patio at All Saints comes alive with laughter, music, and the aroma of good food. We call it Schwarzer Bär (German for “Black Bear”)—named after the tavern in Jena, Germany where Martin Luther and his friends often gathered. For us, it’s a modern-day tradition of food, friendship, and “holy community.”

What You’ll Find at Schwarzer Bär
- Good Food – a potluck feast with plenty to share
- Good Folks – a mix of parishioners, neighbors, and guests—everyone’s welcome
- Good Fun – music, corn hole, fire pit conversations, and more
Whether you’re looking to relax after the week, meet new people, or just enjoy an evening of good company, Schwarzer Bär is for you.

Why “Schwarzer Bär”?
Martin Luther and his circle of friends were known to gather at the Schwarzer Bär tavern in Jena, Germany. They ate, drank, laughed, and talked about life and faith. We carry on that same tradition here in Jonesboro—because good things happen when people gather.
Schwarzer Bär is a night you don’t want to miss.
Good food. Good folks. Good fun.
